Rush is talking about the boot camp to disrupt the GOP Convention. The boot camp is being sponsored by the Ruckus Society.
The Ruckus Society is directly supported by The Tides Foundation. One of Tides' most prolific contributors: Teresa Heinz Kerry
Ruckus .. they make pond scum look good.
bump
Much more of this contamination of our system and Civil War II will be right around the corner....
I think it's closer than we think.
I did some googlin' to try and find a transcript of her speech to verify what caller said, but no luck yet. Anyone else had better luck??
For this thread, Here are some "interesting" quotes from members of the Ruckus Society.
"Anarchism has got a really bad rap, like communism"
» Ruckus Society director John Sellers, writing in the New Left Review, July-August 2001
"Monkey-wrenching is more than just sabotage, and you’re goddamn right, it’s revolutionary! This is jihad, pal. Everything, every assumption, every institution needs to be challenged. Now! And more spiking is needed to convey the urgency of the situation!... Go out and get them suckers, fill them full of steel, and I promise you this: you might get caught; you might do some time; your friends might abandon you. But you will never have to spike the same tree twice."
» Ruckus Society co-founder Mike Roselle, in The Earth First! Journal, December 1994/January 1995
"You create symbols, then manipulate them so the public sees things the way we want them to."
» Howard "Twilly" Cannon, in U.S. News & World Report, May 12, 1997
"It’s cooler to give a crap than it used to be…. This is a watershed moment for us. Some amazing alliances are being formed in Seattle -- steelworkers and animal rights activists; people of faith and human rights groups. This is not just a single protest; we’re kicking off a movement this week that’ll be around long after the last WTO representative leaves Seattle."
» Han Shan (not his real name), in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, November 29, 1999
"I make a distinction between violence and destruction of property. Violence to me is against living things. But inanimate objects? I think you can be destructive, you can use vandalism strategically. It may be violence under the law, but I just don’t think it’s violence."
» John Sellers, in The Mother Jones, September/October 2000
"There’s a cadre, if you will, of criminal conspirators who are about the business of planning conspiracies to go in and cause mayhem and cause property damage."
» Philadelphia Police Commissioner John Timoney, speaking to Salon.com about John Sellers and the Ruckus Society, August 8, 2000
"There is no better way to launder corporate multinational largesse than giving it to the movement that is confronting it."
» John Sellers, in a Financial Times special report, October 15, 2001

Well, here's a picture of this broad...
Guess who was also offering commencement speeches in the Central Ohio area. Any guesses?
GAWD! They should have issued BARF alerts throughout the Ohio Valley. The Columbus Dispatch, May 2
Journalists Erin Moriarty and Helen Thomas are among the commencement speakers at central Ohio colleges and universities this spring. Moriarty, a reporter with 48 Hours since 1990 and a 1973 Ohio State graduate, will speak at her alma mater's June 13 graduation in Ohio Stadium. Thomas, former UPI White House bureau chief, will speak May 15 at the Ohio Dominican University graduation, held on the school's Oval.
I found this link to a live stream broadcast on OSU's website. I do not have realmedia loaded here at work so I will have to view it at home. Tell me if it works.

Only if one assumes that they are given the chance to fight.
Preemptive action is a much more appropriate tack, IMO.
Mattd, just the mention of Helen Thomas and I can hear that whiny voice of hers! Who could forget her famous line during a Clinton press conference: "...everything is going down the drain." That would have been one commencement that I'd have had to walk out of with my ears covered...
Thanks for trying. I thought maybe they recorded it. I won't waste my time with it tonight. Post the article if you find it on Rush's website. From what Rush said on his show, this lady sounds like a prize.
I kind of don't understand your post. Who is Danny Casalaro?
