NRA News Program Moves to Satellite Radio

The National Rifle Association is moving its new NRANews program to satellite radio this week. The New York Times described the broadcast as a "direct challenge to federal limits on political advocacy."

The daily radio program offers news and Second Amendment commentary. As a media organization, it is not restricted by federal campaign finance law. That means NRANews may continue broadcasting in the run-up to the November election - at a time when federal law requires political advocacy groups to stop running ads.

"There is no government licensing of journalists. Tom Paine was free to pamphlet. So are we," the newspaper quoted NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre as saying.

LaPierre said the NRA was looking to buy radio stations in the Midwest, the Rockies and the South.

The "old gray whore" can kiss my gun-owning @$$. It must really suck for the left to have full media control forever and lose control to places like FoxNews, NewsMax and Drudge.

If the New York Time’s advocacy for the Socialist Democratic Party is not illegal under CRA then I don’t see how the NRA can be.

Go to nra's website and watch some of the clips about what has happened in places they have outlawed guns.

Watch Rosie rant & rave about you having a gun, all the while her security guard is packing heat to protect her. Such hypocrites...

Do like the 'Rats do and wrap yourself in tinfoil and run a wire to the radio. Just kidding.

Just go to like a BestBuy or Circuit City and ask about satellite radio (where I live its called XM satellite), you do need to get a new stereo put in your car if thats where you want it, but its great, you can listen to whatever you want anytime with no commercials (also, you can get all of the good talk radio).

Disappointed that the NRA is going to Sirius. I subscribe to XM Radio.

By the way, you don't get all the good talk radio, unless Sirius carries Rush. XM Radio doesn't.
