The new Iraqi military faces one tough row to hoe. For decades they've been the enemy of the Iraqi people.

What a great story...this is not a "quagmire"! ;)

I did have to smile at the Iraqi soldiers' descriptions of the action...can you imagine the Americans talking that way? Maybe it's just the "interpretor", but they sound so almost naive...seems they have a ways to go, but by golly they are on the right track!!

"I feel very, very bad the Marines was shot because they are like my brothers now, but I'm ready to go out again," Jasiam said. "I am always ready."

It will be the Iraqi's themselves who will determine the ultimate outcome of this war.

If other Iraq's find the same courage and commitment, as displayed by Jasiam, they will no doubt be successful in ridding their country of the vermin that wish to destroy it.

Thanks you Jasiam for standing with, and protecting, one of America's children.

Got to praise 'em when they deserve it and build up their confidence and pride.

...pulled the downed Marine behind an elementary school for cover...

I found the problem!!!!

If Iraq had one of them "no guns around school property" laws, this Marine would never have gotten shot....

Things are looking up in Iraq. Spread the news because the MSM won't tell us that.

Proud moments like this will do much to prop up the morale and sense of duty needed for the future. Hope we hear plenty more of this.
