Maybe they should have tried the Suk a Wee tribe, or maybe the Lik a C's.

The council has spoken!

Finally! Someone finally has the guts to say no!
To: NativeNewYorker
I'm glad that someone got tired of sitting for this bull.

Since they are a sovereign nation can the Supreme Court use this rejection when ruling? After all, the Supremes are using foreign law now instead of the Constitution.
The ACLU can't touch them, either, right?

Well Kathy, I'm sure that your life partner can relieve your frustration for you.

15-0! Very good.
How could they get married in Tulsa if OK bans it?

OMG! What's a sensitive white liberal to do?
He can't not love Native Americans but he must hate them for this vote.
There's going to be exploding heads all over the nation!

Maybe they should have tried the Suk a Wee tribe, or maybe the Lik a C's. Did you hear about the discovery of the lesbian dinasaur?
It's called a Lickalottapus

Heck - I live in Cherokee County - and I'm proud of their decision!

The ACLU can't touch them, either, right? Absolutely not. I believe you'll find that reservation lands are soveriegn territory held by the tribes. The ACLU hasn't a leg to stand on in Cherokee law.

The tribal council voted 15-0 Monday night to enact a ban against same-sex marriages. No ambiguity about that vote, whatsoever!

Also in the news, the Council voted 15-0 to establish that "grass is green" and the "sky is blue."
"We never expected to have to state these things," a Council spokesman was quoted as saying, "but the way these stupid white people are driving their society into the dirt, I guess we have to publicly state the obvious to avoid getting sucked down with them!"
