I can see where the officers were concerned about the danger posed by the bear, but they *did* have it confined in a single room. Seems to me that discharging a firearm inside a hospital should be something they'd consider only as a last resort.
I'm pretty sure the drywall and flimsy computer room door would have contained an enraged bear. Well Billy, we're sorry your sick Granny was killed by a bear. Since the safety of a bear is more important than the safety of our patients, I'm sure you understand why we had to wait a couple hours until the proper capture and release personnel were available. But in the meantime, the bear got frustrated that he could not get out of the drywalled room he was in and simply went berzerk. Oh well, here's a lollipop to help you thru your loss. But be happy, the bear is safe and sound in his new habitat.
I dunno. Would a bear be stopped for long by a mere door?
Are you kidding? Ever try to stay overnight in a hospital? The bill is enormous! No way that bear's HMO was going to pick up the cost!
Regards,
Give me a freaking break. Bear walks into a hospital, he was oviously on bear drugs, probably laced honey.
He/It was just asking for it. Most likely he would not negociate, they had no choice but to get hiss smelly A$$ out.
Hey this bear was oviously asking for it!! :)
