The founding principle of our country as stated in the DOI is that men are endowed by the creator with unalienable rights.

If this is not so, then the alternative is that the state grants rights.

I would vote for a non believer but he would have to convince me that his philosophy accorded with the founding principle of this country. A high bar.

Give it a shot.

Why should I understand Atheism? The only thing it is important for you to know is that I would never, EVER vote for one. And at this point in time an overwhelming proportion of Americans agree with me.
