They seem to forget about air power.

I don't know about you fellas, but, sounds to me like someone over there is a bit "scurred."

"if U.S. troops pull out"

They aren't pulling out and they know it. IN fact, they're bringing in more from N.Korea....so what's this story about?

Aside from the issue of freeing the people of Iraq from Saddam and his Ba'athists, and from uprooting his efforts to support terrorists and develop WMD's...all of which are worthy and necessary causes...the strategic implications of having our forces and ultimately a friendly country nestled right there...sandwiched between Iran and Syria are going to become more and more apparent.

Bring them on!

If this report is true then we know why our carriers are at sea.

How large is a battalion? 1000?

Seems to me if they're massed in one place, threatening Iraq, we should send them all to meet Allah.

They are getting mighty cocky lately. Are they expecting some turbulence re their nuke shell game? This "massing" looks like an imminent threat -- maybe it's time to get pre-emptive.

"reliable Iraqi sources"

I'd prefer to hear it from the guys who handle our spy birds.

Iran would be nuts to try it.

Not the wisest move on Irans part. They have a population on the verge of outright rebellion, many of those are pro American.

iraq is not going to ask the US to leave on July 1 ... we'll be there to help keep the peace and dig out terrorists for at least a year afterwards... let iran come on in
