I was 21 in November 1980, so Reagan was the first president I voted for; I remember to this day pushing the lever in the voting booth next to his name, how thrilled I was that I had the opportunity to do my bit for this great guy... Oh dear. Blurry screen syndrome again.

After Carter conceded, my mom & I went on a cruise up and down Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Milwaukee, yelling "Landslide!" out of the car windows every few blocks. It was glorious!

Crying again. Gotta quit typing.

What a wonderful story. What were the reactions to your yelling? I am fascinated by the great Reagan story. I could not vote for him, but I love to hear such first person accounts of that night in 1980 and the one in 1984 from people like you.
