Now that President Reagan's remains are buried there, it will. The library got lots of visitors before then, but they will increase now. As you might expect, many visitors are especially drawn to the part of the museum that covers his Hollywood years. But the Air Force One pavillion will be a huge tourist draw when it opens in 2005.

The Screen Actors Guild says it has "a treasure trove" of minutes, notes, letters and photographs chronicling the eariest days of President Reagan's political career. Thing is, if the material is sitting over in SAG archives, it's not available for scholarly research and public viewing, as it would be at the library. SAG should consider lending or donating the material to the library.

I predict that the Reagan Library will have a great spike in visitors for the next two to three years. That 707 addition will really have people coming in. I won't be surprised if the annual number of visitors tops at least the 300,000 mark.
I live in Little Rock and of course we have the "great" Clinton Library opening here in November.
The idiots here had a study commissioned and they think they are going to get a steady 300,000 visitors a year. I just don't think so. I imagine after the first year or so after things calm down that Library will settle in to a good 80,000 folks a year and most of them will be bus loads of school kids coming in from around the state and they won't be spending big tourist dollars.

Sag probably intends to sell it for auction a piece at a time for big money.

I now have a truly good reason to visit California!
