Nevertheless, the Pope is the acknowledged leader of the largest single Christian Church in both the USA and the world. He and our President agree on the idea that Islam is a legitimate religion with the same deity as Christianity.

True, the Pope does not speak for all of Christianity. Likewise, the fundamentalists do not speak for all of Islam.

In fact, in many countries in Europe, critisizing Muslims will land you in jail, and get you a hefty fine. Just ask Brigot Bardot, who was threatened by Frances govt. with 18 months in jail and a huge fine for critisizng Muslims.

In a majority of Islamic countries, women are not allowed to go out in public, without their veils, or a male member of their family as a chaperone.

Women are the educators of children. To break the back of this evil Islamic-facist crap, all we need to do is continue to hammer away at the misogeny of Islam, and get Muslims to treat their women with equality, and let them live like free people, instead of cattle.

This is where we differ - I believe that if Islam didn't exist, they would have to invent something of a similar nature to justify their mysogynistic/dysfunctional societies.

I view them much the same way as drug addicts - take away one drug, and those that are predisposed towards poisoning themselves will just find another way to achieve the same end.

It's the people, not the religion. We need to have an honest assessment of the characteristics of those that have nothing better to do than tear down the walls of civilisation. Al Queda would have gotten along very well with Attila, et al.

But we probably agree on the most important point: whether Islam is a cause or effect, the West is still pretending the problem doesn't exist.

Let's put it this way: over the next 100 or so years, what's the likelihood of a nuclear bomb NOT being set off by Islamics? I'd say 0. When it happens, then we might see the West get serious.
