June 14, 2004 -- Sen. Chuck Schumer isn't losing any sleep these days about winning re-election in November; in selecting Goshen Assemblyman Howard Mills, state Republicans haven't exactly rolled out the heavy artillery.
So why does Schumer feel compelled to kowtow to extremist Lenora Fulani; that is, to once again accept the endorsement of the state Independence Party, which the odious Fulani controls?

Yeah. But Chuckie knows that when your pimping for votes you have to associate with some people who may not be on a par with you socially. It's ok, he'll get those votes, though.

Great editorial by the POST. Thanks for posting it,
NYC GOP CHICK!
I had a letter on the subject of Schumer, Bloomberg and their support of the INDEPENDENCE PARTY. It was in the online edition of the NY POST on June 6, but for some reason never made it to the paper. So I am posting it here:
June 6, 2004 -- THE ISSUE: Crown Heights killer Lemrick Nelson's release from prison.
Concerning the release of Lemrick Nelson ("A Shameful Conclusion," Editorial, June 2), what is especially shameful is that two major New York politicians, both Jewish no less, recently attended and addressed the gala fundraiser - April 19 at Lincoln Center - of Lenora Fulani's performance group, The All Stars Project ("Fulani a Mike Pal; Odd Couple Share Stage at Gala," April 25).
Mayor Bloomberg spoke and Sen. Charles Schumer was there, too, as the keynote speaker.
Schumer actually said: "The combination of fighting racism and doing it in positive and constructive ways through education has been the All Stars Project's theme. It's a wonderful theme. Keep up the good work."
Keep up the good work?
The All Stars Project, a few months back, put on a production of a show called "Crown Heights," and, to many people, the implication was that the Jews were responsible for the riots.
The American Jewish Committee condemned this as an anastomotic production in a press release.
Bloomberg and Schumer both play up to Fulani, in order to get the nomination of her Independence Party.
They should both be ashamed for attending this gala.

In the last NYS gubernatorial election Pataki financed a voter drive to register independence party voters at $5 a head. An effort to secure the primary.
Half of the independence party rank and file have no clue that they are even a member of a political party the other half are liberals.
Yet both the rinos and the dems prop up the party by passing pettions and providing financial support.
Only to have the marxist leaders stab them in the back. Ignore them and they will wither on the vine.
