The author of this article offers his email on the source website.
Also, what's up with Portland? I just read the first chapter of Bill Sammon's Misunderestimated, which describes a horrific night in Portland, where hateful protesters almost harmed President Bush.

If the lib would spend a day in the real world working for a real business and see just how tough money is to earn, it would be a real education for him.

This pansy needs to take his liberal head out of his hatefilled sanctimonious ass and get real.

This is a strange glimpse into the mind of a young college student.
When has President Bush or his admin spat out 'educated' as a pejorative? When has President Bush put down going to college? Seems to me this young person is shadowboxing.
Maybe they should reflect in themsleves and exorcise some personal demons. Then again, maybe not.

He calls Bush a "Zionist". 'Nuf said. Maybe he will eventually reach the nirvana and will face the pancake's fate.

Unfortunately, based on what this fella has written, he isn't likely to leave the security of the ivory tower. It looks like he will pursue a career as an educator.
Perhaps this could explain his anger at Bush, who represents the real world that the author finds so terrifying.

i know some won't agree, however a four year tour in the marines would be a fine place to start before higher education.

"On Day One at PSU, we will attend the classes that I mentor in the general education program. Our goals, in these classes, are to negotiate ideas across rifts of opinion, to explore the reasons and social thinking that accompany categories of difference both locally and globally, and to communicate effectively using not only words, but all the media of technology, in presenting and arguing our evolving perspectives. The fundamental goal is to create a space of academic safety, not intellectual comfort, where we can challenge and inspire each other. On good days the room is filled with light, on others, like the day we discussed the torture at Abu Ghraib, we feel heavy and caked with the danger that you have foisted on our own fledgling democracy. You will be received with care, though, and knowing the intense consideration that my peers utilize with each other, you will be received with fairness. But you will be required to explain your actions; you will be required to clearly present your argument for all the things you do; you will be graded by your use of logic, not rhetorical flourish." What does this mean? A bunch of meaningless psychobabble? So it seems to idiot me.

Maybe so. But then again, How could someone like this make a capable defender of freedom?

As a PSU grad I apologize for this pansy, but of course, the lefty whining boils over the streets and halls of the Rose City.
Dear cry baby: How about a nice day trip into CENTCOM, or the White House war room, where our national leaders spend countless hours sweating over things like preventing nuke incinerated cities, millions of Americans gurgling to their deaths from anthrax, and I'm sure a gazillion other scenarios that would turn your hair white and make Sept. 11 look like panties ona prisoner's head.
Care to take the lives of our countrymen, and the fate of the world on your shoulders, how about for an hour? Or deep in an Afghani bunker with a Marine corporal hunting Taleban fanatics bent on destroying all of us as horribly and painfully as they can?
Thought so P#$$Y.

Portland is the Arkansas of the west. Unfortunately I've spent time there. The population is shabbily dressed, they have a lousy work ethic, no ambition and no pride. Some are even nostaligic for the good old days of the International Workers of the World (IWW aka "The Wobblies") union. Portland's golden era?

Is Portland militantly and dangerously leftist?
As I mentioned in my opening post, Sammon's book describes Portland's protestors as rabidly and terrifyingly angry. I cannot imagine such a beautiful-looking city serving as the home of such ugly people.

You seem to underestimate the lefties: They don't just want one of anything. In a way, they are like Rush Limbaugh: They ain't gonna quit until everyone agrees with them.

The link to source took too long to load, so I wasn't able to send an e-mail to this "educated" fool. I doubt he has the perspective to realize how arrogant, opinionated, and bigoted his screed is. Sentence by sentence, and paragraph by paragraph, he violates the very principles of freedom of speech and discussion that he claims to defend.
In addition to arrogance, he offers a classic example of self-absorbtion. While he decries the fact that he went to Protland State while President Bush went to Yale, I would like to pay Jason one compliment. He is in the same league, in arrogance and self-absorbtion, as a gentleman I met at Yale (two years younger than me) by name of John F. Kerry.
