Thanks for the ping, W. What a heartwarming story this is. I wish I could have been there to say goodbye to Mr. President. I was lucky enough to have met him personally when he was seeking the California Governor seat. He was a warm and impressive man, and turned out to be a great leader. I haven't seen the likes of him since.

Much appreciative of the ping, Auntie. The throngs of common folk honoring President Reagan all week must have been terrifying to the media.

I noticed a strange phenomena in my neighborhood last week. Here, as almost anywhere today, the residents are too lazy to fly American flags even on the Fourth. Last week, the flags mushroomed....and some folks even took the trouble to attach black streamers or ribbons.

The media has cause for trepidation.
