Twenty five years ago the coming ice age was all the rage. All these prophets of doom should be homeless.

Maybe global warming will save us from the coming ice age? Or something.

An ice age? Impossible, Dr. Al Gore told us we all will be up to our belly buttons in water due to global warming.

If we are really headed to an ice age, perhaps we can all do our part to keep earth warm by buying SUVs and barbecuing all our meals.

It'll stay plenty warm from all the hot air being emitted by some of these "experts".

yes, excess methane is known to have a warming effect.

In the last days of man, the science-twists garnered research grants away from valid pursuits by using more and more grandiose schemes of fear mongering or by tacking on larger and larger numbers of zeros on the end numbers. Trying always for a more sensationalist project than their fellows in order to grab that ever elusive Grant Dollar with the risk of failure looming ever before them; the real fear of actually having to enter the work force and get a job...

The only causality of the schemes of the greedy was Science itself. And so the scientists of the end days sacrificed their own God on the altar of parasitic laxness.

Theory, nothing but theory which is generally total BS.

Me and my TWO SUVs are moving from coastal Virginia to Arizona (think of all the gas they and the moving truck will burn) where I can BBQ with fresh mesquite every day.

Will that help with the "coming ice age?"

(The AZ place is at 5,000 foot elevation just in case.) ;-)

The bubbles are an archive of past atmospheric conditions that can show how greenhouse gases and temperatures varied long before humans were an influence

Or perhaps human influence is unimportant, or even nonexistent?

The Vostok ice cores show clearly that average surface temperature is NEVER stable, that fluctuations in "climate" are a constant feature of Earth, and that the null hypothesis of the global warming maniacs-that the surface temperature SHOULD be stable, that it is NORMAL for it to be stable, and that THEREFORE observed change is ABNORMAL and needs an anthropic explanation is FALSE, FALSE, FALSE.

Arizona, like the coast of Texas, could use a little ice age. Your 5000 ft elevation will be a good thing. I live at 60ft elevation & its hotter than you know where.

Theory, nothing but theory which is generally total BS.

A theory in science is not just some random guess. The complexities of atmospheric research are immense and the systems and mechanisms are so chaotic that prediction and characterization is extremely difficult. Fortunately the Antarctic ice coring gives us an incredible wealth of knowledge about the composition of the atmosphere over time.

All I know right now is it's nine days from solstice, and my outside thermometer reads 43 deg. at 6:25 AM.

Gotta start my pellet stove...

You are doing your part in protecting us from the ice age. You are a true environmentalist.

As for the mesquite BBQ, I don't believe you. Please send your finest samples of smoked trout, chicken, and pork to me as evidence. I live next door in Las Vegas.

Not quite next door. I'll be in Sierra Vista, about 80 miles south-east of Tucson.

But if you show up here, I'll see what's cooking.
