"you're wrong." -Maybe. Maybe not. Of course there are moderare Muslims-
Muslims that don't read or actually follow the Qur'an, which is full of hateful quotes by Muhammad, who advocated violence towards Jews and Christians alike.
Take a look at the "Prophet" Muhammad's quotes below.
He is after all, the founder and spiritual guide for the Islamic religion:
After moving to Medina, Muhammad began to have conflict with the Jews and pagans in the area. Muhammad commanded his followers to:
"kill any Jew that comes under your power"
From Guillaume, op cit, page 369:
"The Apostle (Muhammad)said, "Kill any Jew that falls into your power." Thereupon Muhayyisa b. Masud leapt upon Ibn Sunayna, a Jewish merchant with whom they had social and business relations, and killed him. Huwayyisa was not a Muslim at the time though he was the elder brother. When Muhayyisa killed him Huwayyisa began to beat him, saying, (to his brother, a Muslim) "You enemy of God, did you kill him when much of the fat on your belly comes from his wealth?"
Muhayyisa answered, (TO HIS OWN BROTHER):"Had the one who ordered me to kill him ordered me to kill you I would have cut your head off."
This story is also supported in the Sunan of Abu Dawud, Book 19, Number 2996:
Narrated Muhayyisah:
"The Apostle of Allah said: If you gain a victory over the men of Jews, kill them."
So Muhayyisah jumped over Shubaybah, a man of the Jewish merchants. He had close relations with them. He then killed him. At that time Huwayyisah (brother of Muhayyisah) had not embraced Islam. He was older than Muhayyisah. When he killed him, Huwayyisah beat him and said: O enemy of Allah, I swear by Allah, you have a good deal of fat in your belly from his property.
This murder was committed upon Muhammad's command. Note that this Muslim murderer would have killed a family member at the drop of a hat. Muhammad was no better than a bigoted criminal boss, ordering his men to wantonly murder Jewish people. Hitler did this."

- Wahhabism is the dominant sect of the Islamic religion, which most closely follows the teachings of the "Prophet" Muhhamad.
Wahhabism is also strongest in Saudi Arabia, home of Mecca, a place where Muhammad amassed a 10,00 man army and conquered his foes. It's no small irony that Muslims pray toward Mecca, Saudi Arabia, instead of towards our kind and loving God in Heaven.
According to much of what I have been reading recently (and corroborated by their own atrocities) the violent Wahhabi-inspired jihad that is responsible for most of the Islamic terrorism that is occurring today prescribes the ruination of all secular governments in those countries which have Muslim majorities (strangely including Israel, which Muslims consider ‘occupied territory’). The governments will be taken over either by political infiltration or assassination. The invisible but definite thread running from the assassination of Sadat, to the attempts on the lives of Musharraf, Mubarak, and Hussein (of Jordan) have all fallen under the umbrella of this particularly malevolent blueprint.
Another one of their long-range goals is the permanent withdrawal of American forces and influence from the Middle East, just as we did from Vietnam, and southeast Asia in general, forty years ago. And absolutely essential is the annihilation of Israel, the seizure of the bulk of oil wealth in the predominantly Muslim countries, and the increase of the power of the UN as regards decision-making in the Middle East, eventually declaring impotent most of the former influence of the west.
The Bush administration’s determination not to withdraw from the area (Iraq and Afghanistan especially), and to stand firm in its commitment to the defense of Israel, represents the biggest strategic roadblock to the Wahhabi Muslim domination blueprint. America’s strong presence in the region, and firm commitment to stand behind Israel, cannot be tolerated.
Perhaps the most vital ally to the Wahhabis is the American left -- the Kerrys, Kennedys, Gores, Pelosis, Leahys, Naders, Kuciniches, and their countless, gutless clones. If they are not actual allies of the Muslim sect, then, simply by virtue of their lust for personal political power (and therefore the need to destroy the Bush doctrine), they are serving as the Wahhabis’ essential, powerful useful idiots/fellow travelers. And if they have their way America will pull out of the area (just as permanently as it pulled out of southeast Asia forty years ago), the Wahhabis will enjoy free reign (of terror) in the entire region, and Israel will cease to exist.
The surest way to ensure that radical Islam takes complete control in the Middle East (and other Muslim-dominant geographical regions as well) is to elect John Kerry president. He will busy himself with strengthening the socialist stranglehold here at home, while turning a blind eye as each government over there falls to the barbaric fanatics. After all, all Americans deserve government-extorted healthcare (and the myriad of other socialist utopian handouts). It will be irrelevant to Kerry and his cadre of fellow traitors that those lives about whose health he is so hypocritically concerned won’t be worth a plug nickel with the black cloud of Muslim extremism growing ever larger across the Atlantic, and then, once its armies are sufficiently strong, adequately armed, and indoctrinarily focused, setting its eyes on conquering the Biggest Prize of all.
Electing John Kerry will pretty much ensure that radical Islam will control the bulk of world oil, will have access to untold numbers and variations of weapons of mass destruction, and will boast thousands of adherents who are willing to sacrifice their own lives in order to deliver them … and the power of the corrupt and ideologically bankrupt UN will increase proportionately with the decrease in power and sovereignty of America.
I don’t have a good feeling about all of this. Am currently attending a church-related seminar/retreat (writing from a hotel on my laptop – hitting the keys ever so quietly, with a roommate who is sound asleep :). Been rubbing elbows all afternoon and evening today with many good people. But the large majority of them appear to know absolutely nothing about the above. They are somewhat skeptical about what they hear on the evening news, but in general they don’t know where to go, or what to read, to find the truth.
Combine these good, concerned, but ignorant (as in uninformed) people with a second enormous class of American citizens, and I am extremely afraid that the electing John Kerry scenario really does have a far better chance of seeing realization than many of us are willing to admit.
That second enormous class of American citizens is represented by something I happened to see on television this week. I was sitting down for a few minutes before beginning my evening piano teaching schedule, doing some uncharacteristic channel-surfing and happened to come across Oprah interviewing Bill Clinton about his new book: Bill Clinton: My Li(f)e. I watched for all of about ten minutes as Mr. Clinton righteously described the right-wing witch hunt that tarnished his name and besmirched his grand legacy. I was not the least bit surprised at his lies, his martyr-like posture, and his arrogance. Witnessed all three for eight long, torturous years. But what focused me again on the dangers that lie ahead was the audience reaction. The mostly younger women, to a person, sat there engrossed in this man’s tale, often shaking their heads in disbelief (of the undeserved torment this poor man was forced to endure), and applauding his self-serving, fairy tale, egomaniacal account of his eight years in the White House.
These are the people who fill their days with superficiality – never read anything deeper than People Magazine, believe that reality shows do indeed reflect reality – and who will decide, based on a twenty-second soundbite they happen to see during a break in American Idol on November 1st, how to vote on November 2nd.
Call me an eternal pessimist if you like (you wouldn’t be the first, and surely won’t be the last), but I run into all kinds of people doing my jobs in the course of a week -- and I often talk to them, at least in passing, about the state of the country and the world. Although I live in a conservative area of the country, I estimate that fifty percent of the people with whom I come into contact fall into category number one (the good, concerned, but uninformed). Thirty percent fall into category number two (the superficial, vapid soundbite voter). That leaves an informed, resolute (but paltry) twenty percent. And, in more urban areas, I’m sure the informed, resolute numbers drops dramatically.
Look, on one hand, at the threat that militant Islam represents. It is organized. It is determined. It is barbaric. It is vicious. It is obsessively focused/single-minded. It places no value on human life, liberty, or dignity. And it is growing stronger and more violently radical by the day.
Look at its American allies. They are vocal. They are glib. They are persuasive. They are powerful. They feed off of ignorance and fear. They have the mainstream media at their beck and call.
And look at what stands between the success of militant Islam and its legion of leftist political/media accomplices and the destruction of their brutal, tyrannical ideology:
The American voting public. Educated in American public schools. Raised by parents who too often choose not to instill critical thinking abilities in their children. Too otherwise occupied to concern themselves with issues that require in-depth analysis, or painful, inconvenient, unsettling, frightening conclusions.
Not a pretty picture.
This election cannot go the wrong way. The containment of the Islamic threat represents the greatest mission/calling this country has ever known, bar none. If the American citizenry does not answer that call by electing a President who recognizes radical Islam for the evil that it embodies, the American voting public has acceded to allowing the destruction of Israel, and the amassing of global power unprecedented in the history of humankind, by forces whose evil, both incarnate and ideological, is equally unprecedented.
Sure wish I had more faith in the American voting public. But I don’t.
There may never have been a more important time to rely on one’s faith in God for both direction and comfort. He has blessed this republic from its founding. Everywhere in His Word is incontrovertible proof that He deplores the actions of the jihadists. But neither can a nation that turns its back on Him expect to receive His guidance, strength, and continued blessings in its battle against the forces of evil. Apathy-induced ignorance is glaring evidence of unrighteousness. As individuals, we must fervently seek His direction, remain true to those moral/life-and-liberty-revering standards upon which this republic was founded, and do all that is within our power to educate and inform others to the historically unprecedented danger represented by timidity in the face of evil. Whether we prevail or not, we need to know that, as individuals, we did all that we could. An awesome responsibility, but He expects, and deserves, no less of us.
