jla: from 288 get off at the Powhite Parkway exit and head north across the river. There is a $.75 and $.50 toll before you cross the river. Once you cross the river bear right to the Downtown Expressway. There is another $.50 toll. Get off at the Belvidere exit. Turn left on Belvidere. Turn right on Franklin St. a few blocks down (the infamous Monroe Park will be on the left). The Penny Lane Pub is on a corner on the right somewhere - I think you go past the Richmond Times Dispatch.

Is that vague enough for you? LOL! If you pass an Isuzu with a big W decal go ahead and wave. It will be me searching for the pub also.

Re: directions. You will pass the Jefferson on the right and the Times Dispatch. There is a parking lot on the left. If you get to the capitol grounds, you've gone too far.

Yeah...get on the Powhite going north, after you go accross the James, veer right onto 195 (or the RMA)...go thru the toll and take the Belvidere exit, then take a left on Belvidere (3rd light), take a right on Franklin (5th light) and follow it down until you pass the Richmond Times-Dispatch building there at 5th and Franklin. Park...join the RTM...MUD
