Somthing that struck me all week long, but in particular tonight as the President's motorcade drove from Pt. Migu to Simi Valley.

In the Navy we have a tradition (and I'm sure the other services have something similar) .... When a Commanding Officer retires, his entire crew "mans the rail" as he's leaving the ship for the last time. All week long, I witnessed as the ENTIRE NATION "Manned the Rail" for this great man.

Been losing it for days, but when Nancy didn't want to leave the casket I really lost it.

Blubbered for the rest of the service.

Perhaps...just perhaps....in His infinite wisdom, is it possible that he waited for such troubled times as these (post 9-11, daily terrorism scares, US standing somewhat alone against a new "evil empire") that he timed this event to remind us all of our bright future in His hands through the faith and determination of Reagan? There is a reason for everything!

Thought I had seen enough & would pass on last ceremony, then the eulogies started & I was hooked and tearing up. Was sobbing along with Mrs. Reagan at the casket.

Makes me want to be a better person and good Christian just so one day I can be in the place that I know he is in now, in God's embrace.

When Nancy put her head down on the coffin I was crying, I turned to say how sad that was to my wife she was crying.
And are children seemed to understand.

Usually I don't cry when public figures die. But I cried when Pat Tillman died, I cried yesterday and today when Nancy leaned on the casket, and I've cried for our heroes dying in Iraq.
