I saw that. Ran pretty good, didn't he.
Now, "Take my Hand, Precious Lord.
Wish Mahalia Jackson was alive to sing that one.

I do too. Can you believe the 101 is completely stopped in the opposite direction, people parking their cars and standing by the median to wave goodbye to President Reagan.

The cars in the opposite lanes are stopped and some are getting out of their cars to see the procession.

The marine who is singing it is doing a fine job. Much better looking than Mahalia Jackson, too. :o)

That is SO COOL!
The traffic in the opposite direction is really just a parking lot. Just to pay Reagan some respect.
Can't you just see that sparkle in his eye all over again?

The Wall Street Journal calls it the "Roe Effect".

I think he would have been gratified. One of the things President Reagan did was to restore dignity and honor to the instituion of the presidency. As such he was great for ritual and pagentry as an ingredient to bring about the necessary corrections to the national perseption of the office.

"its controlled chaos from a traffic perspective." No, it's not. It's a beautiful tribute, to a man who gave us everything.
