Yep .. I'm not saying she had to fall apart or anything .. but she was a little too chipper for someone who just lost her husband
Sad to say and sadder to see that the son of such a legend of a man can't hold a candle to his awesome father. I also thought that reference was completely inappropriate.

April 14, 2003 | The Bush inner circle would like to think of George W.'s presidency as more of an extension of Ronald Reagan's than of his one-term father's. Reagan himself, who has long suffered from Alzheimer's disease, is unable to comment on those who lay claim to his political legacy. But his son, Ron Jr., is -- and he's not pleased with the association.
"The Bush people have no right to speak for my father, particularly because of the position he's in now," he said during a recent interview with Salon. "Yes, some of the current policies are an extension of the '80s. But the overall thrust of this administration is not my father's -- these people are overly reaching, overly aggressive, overly secretive, and just plain corrupt. I don't trust these people."
It is too bad. . .think Ron needs some 'Legacy' therapy . . .
In a very real sense we were. What was Reagan if not the well thought out sound-bite on issues of the day. This week his sound bites were being repeated over and over again. I really thought he was with us and I'm glad your said so on the forum. Reagan lives on... and he always will.

I have been so emotional all week, and the more I've seen, heard and read, the more I've been moved to even more love for this glorious American.
We are truly SO blessed to have had this mountain of a man as our President, and I do believe that we are seeing the birth of the Reagan Generation. Our lives have been touched again by his decency, integrity, grit and inherent kindness .. his greatness is being rekindled in the souls of millions who never even knew of him and his gifts. After this week, how could Americans settle for such a lurching, liberal cold fish as Kerry? Pray for the loss of voting apathy, and that what I sense God has up his sleeve will be evident in a resounding victory for Dubyah. Dear Lord .. your timing is priceless. Thank you for placing Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush in our midst, precisely when they were needed.
Thank you, RWR and Nancy, for planning a week of elegant tributes, traditions and unabashed religious conviction .. we've never been so publicly gifted with God's words and references as we have this week .. in eulogies, hymns, prayers and rememberances. We'll never know how many searching, unknowing souls have been touched by God's words and miracless in this time, nor just how many new "friends" we have. Dear Lord .. you surely work in mysterious and powerful ways.

No, that woman was identified on another thread as most likely being Reagan's sister-in-law, widow of his older brother Neil.
Look at Imus he is just so despicable. I don't think I would marry for money I need some kind of attraction! I was watching Larry King last night he had a special on Nancy it was very nice, I have such an itch now to visit the Reagan Library and I also have a desire to see California.
A trip to the Reagan Library is definitely in my future.
President Reagan has often been called an optimist in recent days, but that word seems so pale in comparision to how he made America feel. With him, we could do anything, meet any challenge, go anywhere. Not with government programs, but with the boundless energy that he infused us with in the private sector, the real America.
The sense of loss I feel at his passing is indescribable. He was a part of me; of all of us, who believe in the goodness and righteous strength of this nation. He helped make this nation whole again after the disasters of the 60s and 70s, and pointed the way into the future.
We had lost the way he had pointed out to us in recent years. In passing, he reminds of of who we are, of who we should be, of where we should be going.
Ronnie has passed into the sunset... into the welcoming arms of God. Our journey continues. While the sun has gone down for the last time on his smiling face, the sun rises again for us. We must carry on his work.

Yes. Eric Rigler is the same piper who plays the Irish Pipes in the movie "Braveheart". Eric is a world class piper and one of the best pipers in the USA. I know him, his mother and his teacher, so I am not at all prejudiced.
Eric has a Celtic-Rock band called "Bad Haggis" and is a Pipe Major with the "L.A Scots" Pipe Band. One of two, grade one bands in the USA.
