Isn't it amazing that all these people want to pay their respects. I should be going to bed, but I can't turn this off - just amazing!

I agree. Part of me is afraid to leave, as if I am somehow being disrespectful. I am sad this week is finished. I enjoyed watching President Reagan on tv again. A masterful human being. I feel revived with his passing, remembering there was an actual adult in the white house at one time.

It is after all these years the truth of love the people had for this President being shown.Time hasn't erased that,only enforced it all the more!

I've always admired and loved this President....and never could figure out why he was not so by all. He was always, always, a good man. But then, again, evildoers do hate those who do good.

I am anticipating watching how the media is going to react to all this esteem we held him in. It has been SO long that they have thought they were gaining the upper hand. And now they're confronted with a great big neon sign that says "NO, YOU'RE NOT. WE DON'T BELIEVE YOU!"

I don't think he (Ron, Jr.) makes a secret of being a lib at all...in fact, it would not surprise me to see him speak at the rat's convention...one time I saw him on some cable news (MSNBC?) network during an election and from his commentary there was no doubt that he is a liberal. And the other rats gushed all over him...was quite sickening.

Ron will probably run for Congress someday in a safe Democratic area. He will never go as far as his father for one reason: his father didn't have a mean bone in his body. Ron does. Voters pick that up real fast. It's what undid Howard Dean. It's what will undo Kerry.

Bush has a mean streak, but he keeps it really under wraps.

He has been wonderful to Nancy, giving her comfort when Ronnie cannot. I was left to wondering how Hitlery will handle that then her times comes. I don't see her accepting the 'ceremony' of the military escort, given her contempt for the military. Or if she does, she'll probably insist on a female escort....

A couple times today I could hear him telling her what was going to happen, like, "We're going to go stand over there" and so on. I think she was getting overwhelmed and needed gentle guidance. I did notice that he didn't ride with her in anyof the limos, and I don't think any of her kids rode with her at all today in the cars. Anyone else notice?

Ron's comments have just been repeated in a soundbite from Nightline. My husband, who had not seen the comments live, asked me from the other room if that was a slam a Pres. Bush. He is usually not so observant.

I think the comment of wearing one's religion on one's sleave was a backhanded jab at the President too. Even as son, the leftist lack of discipline and tact show through.

Comparing President Reagan to any of the living and most of the dead Presidents isn't going to be fair as President Reagan outshines them all. But, allowing one's politics to override one's sense of decency seems to be part of the foundation of the leftist religion.
