I believe that this was the week that America took it's country back from the band of haters that would denigrate us all for our beliefs, our values, and our love of country.

I just thought about something regarding the photographers. Most likely they were not close enough to be heard by Nancy and the family. Their lenses are made for long range and they're probably back near the video cameras. If the media's mics are turned up real high, the sound will make it appear as if they're closer than they really were.

Just heard Howard Fineman telling Chris Matthews that Reagan was the first Westerner that was elected President.

Have to tell Fineman ,that is, strictly speaking, not true. Richard Nixon was the first Westerner & Californian to be elected President. Nixon was born and raised in Yorba linda, Cal., was first elected to Congress from there and was also a U.S. Senator from California.

He was at the time of his election as President a resident of New York City but was certainly a Californian through and through.

Was that Scott Baio?

LOL! I just yelled out to my son, "Is Scott Baio a Republican?" It looked like him to me.

He believed in AMerica and believed in us. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate the Americans in California for turning out in droves, to do for the rest of us, across this Nation, what we couldn't do for ourselves. Thanks to everyone who lined those roadsides to say bye-bye.

A band is still playing in the background. I'm still watching...some of us can't get enuf of this. It's the last time we can honor Ronald Reagan.

Could be, but as I said earlier, it won't matter what he meant once the producers use the sound bite as they see fit.

"are we witnessing a rebirth of the America we grew up in, or are we seeing the symbolic burial of that nation that the leftists have tried to kill?"

You just put into words a feeling I couldn't pin down all week. I hope a rebirth.

Now, I realize just how much I'll miss that "corniness" and how much we all needed someone like that.

Kinda like when kids grow up and realize their parents really do have a fun sense of humor, and sometimes the dry humor is the best! :-)
