No, it won't be like this one. It will be a funeral to bury the dead, not a celebration of the life.

"If Clinton died, would anyone come?"
Just about everyone on FR would come!
To: TomGuy
Chris Wallace and the newsies are shocked at the outpouring of people coming to pay their respects. It is a confirmation of ours hearts and ideals that most in the media deny exists. If they are not shattered then they are perplexed, I only wish they would cause them to reflect on how they go about their profession in the future.

Brit is beginning to sound like he's auditioning for a job at one of the alphabets. Brit's doing a fine job.
Why don't you just not watch FOX if you can't stand Brit Hume?
Watch C-SPAN; nobody says a word over there.

Lord have mercy, all these fine old soul stirring hymns. What the President and Nancy wanted for his farewell.
Simply awesome.

I love these hymns,,why don't they play them anymore.I was thinking the same thing. When I go to church (far too rarely), they don't play or sing these that were a part of my upbringing. I have enjoyed hearing them very much.

Thank you for reporting the music and any other details. Strong storm just now knocked out my TV. Thank you. Will also go to cspan.org for pictures - but thanks for the ongoing narrative here.
To: arasina
Clinton will forego a state funeral for the same reason as Nixon.

Come home, come home,
Ye who are weary come home.
Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling,
Calling oh sinner, come home

Did you catch CH 7?
They are estimating over 200,000 lined the 30 mile route!
What a proud send off!

You know Nancy had a hand in the music selection, as did Ron himself. So much for the "they weren't religious" claim.
I know someone who went to church with the Reagans every week, and Ronald Reagan had and used his bible each sabbath.
To: Joe Hadenuf
Ch7 just estimated over 200,000 have lined the 30 plus mile route. Seeing all those people along the route has to lift Nancy's spirits.

Your lyrics are making me cry,,having a de ja vous of my time in the Methodist Church as a little girl in the forties and fifties. I hope they do "I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses",,they played that at my dad's funeral.
