Ditto. Very moving eulogy.
As were the eulogies given by Brian Mulroney, Lady Thatcher and Bush41. Nice service all the way around.

The Wind in Old Glory
At Andrews Airbase
In Washington today
Even Old Glory stood strictly
At perfect attention
With well-earned honors arrayed
The Stars and Stripes
Saluted our beloved leader
As westward
Ronald Reagan
For the last time
Into the setting sun
Flew majestically away

May God bless America with true leaders such as this in the days, months and years ahead.
There will never be another Dutch Reagan, but may we find those who are wise enough to follow his stellar example of what it is to be a man, a patriot and a Christian gentleman.
"Anyway, my impression of the entire service was that it was solemn, dignified, and stately. What a contrast to the Democrats' Paul Wellstone campaign rally!"
I don't have the words to adequately express my agreemnt here.
This was an incredible eulogy. It was perfect, and he kept looking gently at Nancy.
I was listening to Michael Savage tonight and he said Reagans eulogy was bland, and Savage didn't remember one thing from it. He was also going on about how there was too much coverage of the mournng. I turned him off.

I couldn't see the funeral but reading your post was wonderful. I cried.
What President Bush said in this eulogy applies to others as well. For example, the part about seeing through a glass darkly during struggles on earth, quoting Paul's letter to the Corinthians, hit home for my own situation. Made that passage of scripture more meaningful for me.
We know, as he always said, that America's best days are ahead of us, but with Ronald Reagan's passing, some very fine days are behind us, and that is worth our tears.
The entire service was a wonderful tribute to a wonderful man. I was taken with the grace and poise of Nancy.
Agree. Thanks for posting his words.
The liberals then and now still call Reagan the "acting" president.
Bush at least four times in a row talked about some problem and then said, "Reagan acted," and then expounded the result.
George W. may be the king of malaprops, but he can also use the subtlest of stiletto language.
BTTT
I'm afraid that his legacy continues to grow to higher level only, because we as a people have sunk to a lower level.
I thought Reagan's speeches in Japan for a million dollars was a bad thing. Little did I know what would come later from the Clintons. Reagan is looking a lot better now, not because he got better, but because the rest of us got worse.
