TEL AVIV, Israel, June 11 (UPI) -- A Palestinian couple frustrated over their inability to marry approached Israeli lines hoping to be shot together, it was reported Friday.

Soldiers suspected the couple were not militants and held their fire, the Yediot Aharonot newspaper said on its Web site.

The couple in their late 20s have been friends for six years and upon questioning, told officials they could not marry because of a dispute between their families, a military source told United Press International. They decided suicide was their only option.

They approached the Kfar Darom settlement early Wednesday. The woman dropped her bag when soldiers approached and hugged the man when soldiers pointed their guns at them. Soldiers asked the woman to move aside so they could search the man, but she would not let go of him until shots were fired in the air.

After searching and questioning the pair, the army released them, confident they were not affiliated with any terrorist organizations.

You overlook the distinctions between languages and definitions.

Your analogy is wrong.

Both worship the God of Abraham, although they are in dispute as to his true name. Gd of Abraham is not same as moon rock god named Allah
Both the President and the Pope have a different opinion.

God took on the likeness of sinful man.

Did you grow up Muslim or Christian?

Original Post:
Perhaps you could clarify a few points for me:

1) Does or does not the Koran/Hadiths refer to Jews as "the sons of pigs and monkeys?"

2) Does or does not the Koran/Hadiths command muslims not to take Jews and Christians as friends?

3) Does or does not the Koran/Hadiths say that on the last day the Jews will be exterminated by muslims, and the trees and rocks will say "Oh Muslim, oh slave of Allah, behind me is a Jew, come and kill him?"

4) Besides Sheikh Abdul Palazzi and Prof. Khalid Mohammad, can you name three prominent muslims who recognize the legitimacy of Israel?

5) If suicide bombing, murder, etc., are prohibited by islam, why are "Palestinian" suicide bombers dispatched by islamic clerics, approved of by 90% of the muslim "Palestinians," and financially supported by the muslim Arab nations?

1. not that i know of. (dont know everything)

It does. Suha 5, verse 60.

2. yes, stick with people with common belief in GOD.

How remarkable. My friends are Jews, Christians, several stripes of atheist and agnostic, the odd pagan or two, and have even included a few muslims.

3. yes

Thank you for your candor.

4. just 1 me

Thank you again for your candor.

5. they are not GOD. if you do other than GODS law they are not muslims

In that case, it would seem that something in excess of 95% of your co-religionists are heretics in danger of damnation. I wish you luck in returning them to the correct path.

so timothy mcviegh, and the KKK are the role models of christianity?

Isn't it sad the those are the only two examples of "christian" mass murder that the Islamo-murderers can cite? Over and over?

How many thousands of murders by sandmaggots, shouting "allahu akbar!" do we need to cite to illustrate the moronic comparison?
To my knowledge, McVeigh never once referenced his Christian membership.

Lousy attempt at discourse ... try again.

reports say muhammad atta didnt pray or attend friday prayer.
Atta hung around stripper bars, was reported to have drank alcohol, and avoided Muslim communities. Perhaps because they'd spot the discrepancy between his fundamentalist words and non-observant lifestyle, smell martyr-wannabe, and turn him in.

That's what happened in Buffalo, to the Al Qaeda cell there.

Both the President and the Pope have a different opinion

Oh give it a rest. You seem to be some sort of apologetic fixture popping up like a jack-in-the-box whenever islamics are mentioned.

The Pope was befuddled into kissing the Koran, and the islam-apologists have been going hogwild ever since. Bush is doing a great job of saying "good doggie" while reaching for a suitable weapon. What joy when the boom comes down ;).

Great tag line.
Thanks. It's attributed to President Reagan, but that wouldn't fit in the tag line blank.

Much of the problem has been the general lack of more than one or two Muslim clerics to publicly denounce these acts. The silence, quite frankly, is deafening. If Muslims as a group, want to be seen in a better light, they must not hide statements like your last one. The "Day of Fire" is already upon Atta and his crew.
