Thank You for the Ping!

It's going to be a hard day.

I'm trying to honor President Reagan's life, and not be so sad....but it's not working.

Everytime I swear I won't cry...sometning else sets me going again.

He would rather you smile and be glad for his life well lived.

You too? I was doing OK until my random mp3 playlist queued up a song by Mary Chapin Carpenter, 10000 miles. You might remember it from the movie "fly Away home". Oh my, the emotions while that plays and I see images of the President and read his words! If anyone gets a chance, go to Itunes and spend a buck on it. It's just so appropriate. Here are the lyrics:

10,000 Miles (Traditional)

Fare thee well
My own true love
Farewell for a while
I’m going away
But I’ll be back
Though I go 10,000 miles

10,000 miles
My own true love
10,000 miles or more
The rocks may melt
And the seas may burn
If I should not return

Oh don’t you see
That lonesome dove
Sitting on an ivy tree
She’s weeping for
Her own true love
As I shall weep for mine

Oh come ye back
My own true love
And stay a while with me
If I had a friend
All on this earth
You’ve been a friend to me
