I can't wait till Dutch gets home here in California. The weather is perfect, and I'm really sick of hearing the constant drone of sirens in the Nations Capital.
The children will give eulogies in California at the family ceremony this evening.
This is a National service....the country, a grateful nation, says goodbye..the family will have their private time at the burial..

It has to gall Wolf Blitzer, Christiane Amanpour and Paula Zahn to be on duty this morning. Judy Woodruff's trying to appear respectful right now.
When I saw Michael at the service two days ago, he EXUDED the Reagan spirit.

Ha, I lingered on ABC out of morbid curiosity in time to hear Peter Jennings inform us that popularity is not a measure of the greatness of a president.
Brings on Michael Beschloss to explain that Reagan may be a nice guy and Americans have affection, but that doesn't mean he was great. (In fairness, that is my gross paraphrasing and interpretation of his rambles)
Didn't say he wasn't the perfect escort but I'd want my family to lean on.
