I love it too. The music today was magnificent.....as was the entire service. I'm still tingling at all the BEAUTY of form and content. As President Reagan was wont to say, "Not bad. Not bad at all."
Just as he did us proud as President, the nation has done him proud in our reverence, awe, and homage. May he dwell with God forever.

Never be afraid to ask a question on FR....you would be surprised at the wealth of info you can tap into.

My mistake. I thought it was one of the jets that did the fly-over,

That website only tracks commercial air traffic; it won't track Air Force One.

NICE JOB!! This wouldn't be a bad picture to circulate to email lists, too.

The plane is off the ground.
He must have changed plans as I understood them.
He was out here, and made his appearance
at the ceremonies at the library in Simi Valley
With his own photographer.

Then AlohaRonnie has my undying affection and admiration to have lived through the hell of Ia Drang. As with most graphic war depictions (the best of which, IMHO, is "Band of Brothers"), I was left at the end of the movie saying "I can't imagine how they survived", and "God bless them for their courage."

Thanks for the correction. Goldberg wrote a book recently on "Media Bias" while he was at CBS; however, he lost a credibility with me since he didn't blow the whistle when he was a part of the "in crowd". I only think of Bernie Shaw hiding under the desk during the Gulf War I. LOL

They just don't get it.
I pity poor PM Mulroney.
He was just being polite, I'm sure.

I heard the applause and when that plane just vanished, I gasped as well.
It was incredible.

I discern the way is to lavish "praise" and insert little jabs here and there--that goes on across all of the channels. I've noticed that as well. Did Andrea Mitchell mention that Reagan personally requested in the 1980s that 41 speak at the funeral? I'll bet not. And I'm sick of hearing all the double-edged praise of Reagan which is really designed to jab Bush by comparison. Could these people give it a rest already?

...time for us to carry on your legacy! ... Yes. We have something he did not. His example. An exceptionally good man, worthy of respect. And the principles he espoused, spiritual and temporal, are durable.

I was wondering why the Bushes weren't there to say good-bye. Don't know what the protocol is under those circumstances.
