LIVE THREAD--Reagan State Funeral Ceremony: Lying in State at the Rotunda (6/11/04)
Anyone know the members of the family, besides the Reagan children and their mates? Are they Pres. Reagan's siblings or siblings children?
Bullcrap - Commenting on things happening during a live event on a live thread is NORMAL.
Deal with it.
It would be impressive for Reagan's last flight in AF1 that it would be flown at 500' AGL from Washington to California!
Woo...excellent! Thanks for that!
Over & out for the afternoon.
God Bless him. "Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom of heaven."
It was refresing for the the service to be religions and not politically correct. It made this welcoming.
(Please don't post that drivel from DU. It tarnishes this thread.)
What did I miss?
Aren't you carrying this argument on a little longer than need be? You're taking time away from appropriate comments to continue commenting on inappropriate comments.
Please, please do... I promise it would be no imposition. I hope you get to see it on replay, though, so you don't have to wait days for it to come in the mail. I'll keep your screenname handy and if I hear about it replaying on CSPAN I'll give you a heads up...
I believe those words will live in history. May God bless her.
"The Great Communicator" is often used to subtley undercut President Reagan's towering achievments with the idea that he was only an attractive speaker. From today I'm sticking to "The Great Liberator"!
That is so beautiful.
Currently have Lou Cannon on...Reagan Biographer...also very positive.
I suspect he's a closet democrat, but he did go out of his way to set up a larger screen TV in my office for me this morning. I guess he's an okay dude!
I am NOT AT the service & on International TV! But I
was singing.....!
"It was refresing for the the service to be religions and not politically correct. It made this welcoming."
I would expect nothing less. Ronald Reagan was a religious man, so it is more than fitting that his funeral be a religious one. I can't imagine why anyone would object.
As a nation that doesn't stand on pomp and ceremony, we have with the passing of one our greatest, done a good job.
When the need arose, we provided both pomp and ceremony and celebrated the life and passing of a truly great American.
Truth is shame? Save it!
ABC title says "Farewell to 'A' President"
The can't even say President Reagan. They can only respect the office and not the man.
low.
