No, the flag will not be removed until the end of the service in California. Then it will be presented to Nancy.

Patti and Ron are standing there looking lost at singing a hymm! When my mother died, I couldn't sing the hymns I'd requested.
At our various family funerals, we'd weren't perfect by the definitions of some. People criticizing our appearance/behavior/reactions would have been unhelpful to say the least.

No flag folding I don't think until the burial site. Casket is draped on its way out of the cathedral

Who is the gray headed man behind Mrs. Reagan? He's part of the family.

Listening to the audio broadcast at work and reading this thread. They say a man's life will be preached his funeral and that is definitely the truth. The Greatest Truth is now being spoken over and over to this great nation.
MEGA AMEN!!!

To fallen soldiers let us sing
Where no rockets fly nor bullets wing
Our broken brothers let us bring
To the mansions of the Lord
No more bleeding, no more fight
No more pleading through the night
Just divine embrace,eternal Light
In the Mansions of the Lord
Where no mothers cry and no children weep
We will stand and guard though the angels sleep
Through the ages safely keep
The Mansions of the Lord

What was offensive about the Wellstone fune-rally was all the chanting and screeching "we will win." I am still waiting for someone to play Hitler audio clips with those of many of the dems this past few years as they've gotten to screeching and mimicking that Nazi cadence.

Sometimes I wonder about my son. He seems so much more insightful and less self absorbed than many of his peers. He truly loves this country.

Me too, I have to stay in because I refuse to pull myself together until it comes naturally. He's just too beautiful a man to walk away from. I am thankful you are with me and that we are not alone.

Listened to this on the radio and followed along on FR for the entire service. Thanks to all for many fond memories!
My daughter will be sending me a copy of the actual service program once she gets back to the cathedral. She is teaching at St Albans this fall.

Wow, that brought tears to my eyes. It's something I've meditated on, but this was profoundly said. Thank you.

When you think of the people living more freely than ever before, thanks to the former president, it is rather hard for us to comprehend.
