Animals see UV - flowers have patterns of UV colors on them which butterflies and bees and most animals can see. I dunno that it has much to do with the ROYGBV color spectrum.

His dad was on the ticket, was my thought. That made him part of the winning team.

Class reference to Carter and Anderson of 1980 race. Was it Anderson he was talking about, or his dad, who Reagan beat in the 1980 primary?
His dad. He nodded that way, and said "from Houston".

I think it's a badge of honor that dems and media wienies imply President Bush is dumb. That's the same rap they tried to hang on Ronald Reagan...and see what it got em?
That's how losers frame the debate. They can't win so they try to tear down their opponent with insults.

My point is, we can justly trash clinton 24/7 here. Just not now.
Yeah, you've indicated that in SEVERAL previous posts. MY point is, that even over at DU, they are not trashing Reagan/Republicans as much as usual (thus the low post count). Some of them even seem to be paying some respect. I was just making an observation.

I'm 21 and I think it's safe to say the Ronald W Reagan was the first truly important man to die in my lifetime. It's stunning...

Regan, Haig and Howard Baker in attendance.

After I lost my husband, and then when I lost my father, I was on autopilot as well. I don't remember much of those days, and the days afterwards.
To: MineralMan
Unlike Clinton, I am staying awake. Go tell him to show some class, pal. We are on a thread making commentary and observations. Take you advice somewhere else.

It took 1 year for me to move on after my dad's death. I had to get through all the holidays, after Christmas of that year I was better.

I think Patti smiled when one of Reagan's friends (I forget who; sorry) suggested to him that he should be president, and Reagan asked, "Of what?" When told "of the United States," Reagan replied, "What? You don't like my acting either?"

Bush says "A government in Washington that began to exceed its limits." The camera focuses on Clinton.
Funny, that was directed at Carter.
To: Abigail Adams
When W Bob Cummings asked Reagan one day if he ever thought about becoming president, he said, "President of what?" W said "The United States." Reagan said, "Oh, you don't like my acting either?"
