Because even though he is dead...they still fear him and what he represented. Particularly because of this outpouring, they fear him now and they will fear him after he is buried...and they will fear him until their dying day. they will do so because he stoodd for the truth and they stand for a lie.
Its hard to believe it now but a lifetime ago this newspaper actually endorsed Barry Goldwater for President over President Lyndon Johnson! Of course that was when it was run by the Chandler family. Its under different management now.

I think they have made a mistake!
Larry King with Tim Russert are giving a very nice tribute to Ronald Reagan and talking about he won the Cold War....they get it.
And the final few minutes were a tribute to Nancy and Ronnie with phots of them together set to music.
It will die when advertisers realize it costs them business to advertise in the LAtimes. The targets who will be most vulerable are the staple advertisers like the retailers or the car and real estate advertisers.
