Reagan and Civil Rights: Does Ronald Reagan Have a Black Granddaughter?
June 10, 2004 | Pinochet

I just heard someone mention that, the daughter of President Reagan, Maureen (now deceased), has a black granddaughter who is now being raised by her father (Maureen's widower husband). I heard that the girl was adopted from overseas.

This proves that liberals are sick liars, given all the propaganda they have promoted about Reagan being hostile to blacks and to civil rights. The fact that Maureen adopted a black child, proves that Reagan raised his children to be anti-racist.

Contrary to liberal propaganda, Reagan supported the idea of color blindness, and treated all people the same.

Yes, he does. Maureen Reagan and her husband adopted an African child. I attended a workshop which Maureen lead and she talked about her daughter and how much her father loved her.

At the end of his presidency, I heard a story about Reagan from his high school or college days. He was on a sports team, I think a football team, and the visiting team came to town, which happened to have some black players. The hotels in the area didn't allow blacks, so he invited some of them home to stay the night at his home, which they did. This says a lot about not only him, but the family that raised him, because until they came to town they were complete strangers to him. He was kind enough to know about the hotels, and act when others didn't to make sure they had a place to stay.

To top it off, he never spoke of these kinds of things while campaigning in an effort to cynically draw attention to himself.

Lying is as easy for a leftist liberal as breathing. Truth is the impossible for them.

That boy is not Bill Clinton's. DNA tests proved it. There were a few genetic markets listed in the Starr report, and this kid's DNA wasn't even close. It's impossible that Clinton could be the father.

Yes, but isn't it rather curious that people with ample resources took the time and spent the money to "check" to be sure?

hehe

Look what I found when I was doing a search on Maureen Reagan.

Look at the date on this press release. It appears President Bush took care of this for them.

For Immediate Release
Office of the Press Secretary
July 18, 2001

Statement by the Press Secretary

Yesterday, the President signed into law S. 560, which allows Rita Mirembe Revell permanent residency in the United States. Ms. Revell is a 16 year-old student from Uganda. Dennis Revell and Ms. Maureen Reagan, daughter of former President Ronald Reagan, are guardians of Rita Revell. This Private bill will allow Rita Mirembe Revell to be adopted by Dennis Revell and Ms. Maureen Reagan, and be classified as "immediate relative child".
