What an eye opener! After listening to his spellbinding speech and more important, hearing the content of his message I suddenly loved America and its people. I loved the message of personal responsibility Reagan preached and realized how sadly lacking it was in the black community, where people of my pigmentary persuasion always felt that the system owed them something. I walked away convinced that the system owed me nothing; to the contrary, I owed my country the best that I could give it.
I'm guessing that Bill Clinton never had this type affect on anybody.
God Bless President Reagan

Democrats the party that now has less pro-American sentiment than exists in the city of Baghdad! Sad but true.
I walked away convinced that the system owed me nothing; to the contrary, I owed my country the best that I could give it.
Worth repeating. It warms my heart to know that every day more and more black Americans get it.

"On September 11, 2001, America played a home game and lost. Our current president placed his entire presidency on the line by deciding that if we were going to play this game, we would make it an "away game" and take it to the hometowns of the opposition. Because of this decision, we are winning. "
Bears repeating.

Jesse Jackson and his ilk will loathe me for this, but...
The first place that I ever worked with anyone of a different race and learned to accept them as my equal was in Ronald Reagan's United States Navy. We were all brothers united by a common ideal - the service of our country. A quarter century later I treasure those friendships more than any that have come since. We were defending a common idea. Our nation, and the man who led and guarded us.
May God bless the man who led us during those years, and the Americans of all races, creeds, and colors who served along side me during that time, brothers and sisters all. you are the best people I have ever known, and I am honored to have served with you.
