Wonder how many (percent) of these visitors are those who fled communist countries to live here in freedom.....

"When Clinton's buried instead of a lone horse with backwards riding boots hanging off, they'll have a flatbed El Camino with a pair of pants hanging off."

The media doesn't look at the whole picture when giving estimates.

Correct.
They're in shock as it is.

I agree. The President went in and offered a prayer and touched the casket of the Great Man.

Now Reagan belongs to the ages. The service is about Reagan, not about Bush. The memorial is about Reagan, not Bush. Bush knows this. He will have a chance to eulogize tomorrow. But for now, this is a chance for the people to bid goodbye to their 40th President.

That's the difference between Bush and that pompous ass he's running against. Kerry's faux grief in Simi Valley was more than I could bear.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

One thing I've noticed...

I can't get over how young these troops are performing in the honor guard. Some of them look like they could go a few days between shaves. ('cept the young lady who is part of the USN honor guard.)

The Marines are impressive, even if they still look like they are wet behind the ears.

I do want France out of NATO - we need allies who stand with us and for whom we should stand in times of trouble. The French, for once, must be isolated to suffer the consequences of their own appeasement moves with the enemies of the western world.

Okay, I'll take the UN and up you the French!

At one time in history the French were very steadfast allies because of their "gratitude" for the saving of their culture.

Also during the cold war, their location made it imperative that the west maintain a good relation with France.

Now with world changes as we have seen both have made France unappreciative and at the same time their location a strategic void.

All that is left is a political bond and I trust I don't have to deepen the subject any further to make MY point as to why we must take France at face value, ease away from their influence in the world and recreate our defensive allies.

However, my point is "the easing away" from it and not doing a slam dunk!

Slam dunks don't go over well politically.

Kerry's faux grief in Simi Valley was more than I could bear.

Reminds me of the "Wellstone eulogy" that made me teary eyed when seeing the affection that his party affiliates showed in his passing.
