word is that she can no longer speak - the taped eulogy for Reagan is something she made years ago.

What a shame! I always liked to hear her speak, not just because of what she said, but because she also has a rich, commanding voice. What a great Lady.

"word is that she can no longer speak"

Its OK...her words and actions are still influencing our world. This woman had more...guts, than most men I know. The Union Jack still flies in the Falklands and the Soviets are in the scrapheap of history.

Maggie will live forever.

She taped it in February of this year. Her doctors have advised against public speaking because they feel it might be too stressful for her since the stroke.

Did anyone see Michael Reagan? I didn't watch the whole.

She can speak, and effectively. Her doctors just don't want her to speak in public. I suppose she gets worked up and raises her blood pressure, not good in someone who's had strokes. Still, she has spoken recently. Check out Thatcher launches attack on Blair

She can speak just fine. She taped the eulogy in February. However, given her stroke and frail health, her doctors believe that public speaking has become too much of a strain; thus she announced last year that she would not be making public speeches any more.
