Judge George Greer was unelected the first time around... Then he was unopposed until now.
It's been twelve long years and it's time for a change in Pinellas-Pasco County, Sixth Circuit Courts.
Sometimes the establishment incumbent such as Judge Greer, wears out their welcome.
It's illegal to order Terri to be starved to death. Euthanasia is illegal in florida. The exit protocols are a shabby piece of work by Senate Prez Jim King who's retired, thank god, from the President job. He's still in the Fla senate though. Hopefully his replacement Tom Lee will send up another Senate Bill to protect the disabled from forced exit.
Since 1992, Pinellas and Pasco County citizens have had no choice in their judiciary. The most important thing a citizen can have is the power to make choices in their e
elected officials and the ability to put that power to work.
bump that thought.
"Greer says he cannot discuss the issue because it involves a pending case." . . .
Feel free to link anything you see here on Terri's thread. I always need backup. lol
Thank you for all you do for Terri! God bless you, FReeper pal. Terri - NOT DEAD YET - thank Goodness.
I'm betting that Greer's supporters won't realize the day of the election and will stay home.
Leni
You're welcome. Everyone's welcome, especially Floridians who want to help Pinellas-Pasco repair our "ailing" sixth circuit.
bump Jan Govan to the top.
Rulings of Judge George Greer:
Attention Florida Voters and all Americans:
Come August 31, 2004...who will you be voting for? I hope Florida is ready to vote for Jan Govan in Pinellas and Pasco County.
Florida needs a Judge who can "think on their own". We already are very aware of the horror that Judge Greer has caused the Schindler family. Were you aware of the horror judgments he has passed on to others, as well?
I wonder how many other judgments Judge George Greer has made that has caused tremendous heartache to the family that he has ruled with error? Seems to me , too many of Judge George Greer's mistakes are found AFTER his rulings...he seems to have a problem with "proof" or "evidence". In reviewing some of Judge George Greer's larger cases, I have come to the conclusion that he cannot make a ruling unless the "crime" occured with 20 signed witnesses. Such a shame. Many crimes that occur have no witnesses and a Judge should be able to rely on clear and compelling evidence. Perhaps its a handicap with Judge Greer and no fault of his own...however, he certainly should NOT be a Judge on the Bench where very serious rulings need to be made. Lets look at a few of his cases and rulings:
The biggest that stands out is the case in which he did not grant Helene Ball-McGee a restraining order? She clearly provided compelling evidence that her spouse was a psycho and torched her belongings as well as harrassed her and believed she was the devil.(By the way, he ended up brutally murdering Helene Ball-McGee just two weeks after Judge Greer ruled she didnt provide "enough proof" that he was violent as he had not physically "hit" her, as yet.) Dont you think the system and Judge Greer's ruling failed her? I sure do.
What about Janet Smith being awarded the estate of her husband when compelling evidence suggested she had a hand in his death? (along with all the other death of her numerous husbands (7 of them!)and boyfriends) Judge Greer awarded her the estate of $250,000 because (and his words) he didnt feel he had enough "proof".
What about poor old emancipated at 110 lbs. Henry Chapman? He was left to starve in his home with only a box of cornflakes? His only "newer" friend was Larry Welke. (yes the same Larry Welke who bilked an 89 year old woman out of her bank account and her money and he was her beneficiary on her will, he pleaded no contest and paid $61,000 fine! ....yup the same Larry Welke that during a traffic scene pointed his gun at a five year old little girl and said he would "shoot her little black *** "...yup, that Larry Welke ) He befriended Chapman, did his taxes for him, and even helped him draw up his own will...naming HIMSELF as beneficiary of his 6 million dollar estate. Yes! 6 million! Course according to Welke, he claimed that Chapman would not want lawyers involved, only himself. Course he had a supposed buddy notarize it..some garage mechanic place with a guy named Long who is known to sell pot out of his mechanic shop. Ends up that the family contested the will in Judge Greers court...however, Judge George Greer declared the criminal records of Welke and notary Fred Long irrelevant to the case, because they pleaded no contest and never were formally adjudicated guilty.
Or we could look at another ruling Judge Greer ruled on: Julie Jacoby? She lost her custody of her children because Judge Greer ruled that the Dad would be more suited as a parent because Julie was a lesbian...and she planned on keeping her kids in a Baptist school! Judge Greer said that would have a poor impact on the children! (Judge Greer had critized Julies decision to keep the children enrolled in the Baptist school, suggesting that she was "naive or simply blase" about the potential effect of this on the children.) Unbelievable!
I think anybody who is considering a vote to reinstate Judge George Greer needs to think again..........and vote for JAN GOVAN.

PLEASE COPY & PASTE THIS POST AND EMAIL YOUR FRIENDS re: Greer's record and to encourage your friends to visit: www.jangovan.com for Sixth Circuit Judge, Pinellas-Pasco County, Florida. Thanks, floriduh voter
Disclosure should be disclosed by Greer so that taxpayers can select another judge if they are uncomfortable with his judgment and limitations.
The Sixth Circuit is NOT DAY CARE FOR JUDGES.
Is this what you're mailing out to the voters?
Bump!
Jan Govan will win even if it's one bump at a time. lol
Are any more of these available?
Of course Greer doesn't have enough proof - he doesn't like taking evidence!
Greer is so legally blind that he can see a black six inch high letter from twenty feet. He can't possibly see videotapes or written documents. When he says he doesn't have enough proof, he means, HE CAN'T SEE BUT IF ANYONE FINDS OUT, HE MAY LOSE HIS CUSHY JOB.
We REALLY need Pasco voters to support and vote for Jan Govan. Greer's not likely to campaign in Pasco. Jan Govan believes Pasco should not be treated as a hyphenated group of citizens as in Sixth Circuit Pinellas-Pasco County. Jan Govan believes in due process and equal representation for all.
