According to John Loftus (on the John Bachelor show on WABC) once Iraq is defined as a sovereign state the Iraqis can go after Syria for allowing terrorists to cross their borders.

The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. (Isaiah 17:1)

This Biblical prophesy is still to be fulfilled.

I believe that a coordinated simultaneous attack by U.S. on Iran and Syria by Israel would work the best. Then just keep a look out for Egyptian movement along the southern border. Next, Israel would have to be "left alone" for a bit to take care of their own problems in "Aza" and what is known as the "West Bank". My first name Gad comes from the same named tribe of Israel who lived on land we can call the "East Bank" and within my lifetime it is a goal of mine to return there and see the river from the OTHER side. Go Bush, you have my vote!!!!!!

With public support for the president declining, administration officials may want to wait until after the election before talking about an attack on Syria.

Given tempatures in that part of the world, there's not much chance of anything happening until late fall anyway -- trying to do anything in the summer over there makes things much more difficult.

Oh really? A tenuous time for them to battle with the Syrians... definitely bears watching.

The press has portrayed everything going on in Iraq as a war with Bush and the neocons on one side and Europe and the Democrats on the other. The Baathist/Al Qaeda insurgency is just a backdrop. Whenever the press is accused of left-wing bias, their reply is that they are trying to get the whole story and that their duty is to "the truth". Stories like this one put their comments in perspective. The press is full of s***.

2004 SPRING : () In spring 2004, U.S. intelligence reported multiple communications between Syria and North Korea, and traced the calls to a desert location called al-Kibar.
The U.S. early info was 2004 and the air strike was Sep 2007
