I presume others are watching.
The aircraft was a private VIP-type craft that went off course briefly.
Brit up and talking and tells them to get rid of the thing at the bottom of the screen.
Yay!
Ach, they just put it back after they were done showing whatever they were showing.
What thing, a banner? I'm listening to MSNBC.

Beginning of procession: 16th and Constitution at 6:00 P.M. --------- The procession begins at 16 th Street and Constitution Avenue with the ceremonial transfer of remains of former President Ronald Reagan from a hearse to a horse-drawn caisson for the processional to the Capitol. |
Yes--Brit told them to move the banner while they showed a live shot of the outside scene of crowd.
They put it back when they returned to the studio camera. It was nice while it lasted.
Thanks!
Yep, I saw it, too, very clearly. It's the whole reason I came to this thread late in the day to see if anyone on the live chat saw it and commented.
Thanks for the link. I got very little work done today.:-)
Bruce Boxleitner was there next to Morgan. So that's 3...
Pretty sad commentary.
I'll bet Selleck will be somewhere, maybe he's going to the private service on Friday. Haven't heard.
But not many from RR's old town of Hollywood seem to get the fact that one of their own, from so long ago, was so important to the country that they make their livings from.
Melissa Gilbert is the current president of the Screen Actors' Guild, the same union post Ronald Reagan held twice.
To his credit, Wolf Blitzer explained this requirement as did Rush Limbaugh earlier today.
Not that I'm a fan of his, but in all fairness, Clinton's tribute as reported by MSNBC says:
Former President Bill Clinton: Hillary and I will always remember President Ronald Reagan for the way he personified the indomitable optimism of the American people, and for keeping America at the forefront of the fight for freedom for people everywhere. It is fitting that a piece of the Berlin Wall adorns the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington.
Actually, the tributes from some of the leading Democrats have been quite decent, surprisingly.
REgarding Jennings... how in the world did that POS become an American citizen? I would love to ship him back to Canada... feet first!
The one that irked me parroted the new spin, that Reagan was lucky to have been in office when it happened, and shows Clinton actually saying it, out of doors. I don't have the exact quote, but that's close. The others show a portrait of Reagan, with an unseen Clinton speaking.
hahah Greta Van Sustern still did a segment on Scott Peterson tonight. There could be a nuclear bomb attack on American and Greta would talk about Kobe and Scott Peterson instead.
You're probably right, I did not see that one. Generally, not much of what Clinton says resonates with me, so this particular quote came as something of a surprise. Likewise quotes made from Pelosi, McAullife or is it McAuliffe, whatever.........even Ted Kennedy.
Of course, these guys and Ms. Pelosi are usually so contemptible that whenever they say anything halfway decent, one cannot help but react but it does not change what or who they are.
If Clinton liked Reagan so much then why is He being such a jacka$$ and grinning .Did anyone else catch Hillary nappin or am I the only one?
I can't explain the faster pace of the pall bearers entering and exiting the church....maybe it's just easier that way.
but oh what a moving service, and speaks so highly of our country, doesn't it? (Sort of makes me realize we haven't "gone to hell in a handbasket" quite yet.
Tradition is important.
