Why do we allow the ACLU to destroy us.
How do we fight them?

The American Civil Liberties Union says the Establishment Clause "requires the separation of church and state,"
I just don't understand the leap of logic required to go from
"Congress shall make no law respecting..."
to
"The City of Los Angeles shall not have on its seal...".
If these are the laws we are going to live by, then we should codify them, plain as day so we all agree. Legislation by intimidation and activist courts is a lose-lose for everyone.

I think the protesters should include the fact that the council lied about their motives to begin with. If you recall the council claimed that they voted to remove the cross because they couldnt afford to fight the ACLU. Next the Thomas More law center agreed to fight on behalf of the city on a pro bono basis thus removing that excuse. the council still voted to remove the cross.
In short the council lied to get their way.

Was not the eradication of religion a Marxist/Communist theme? I believe even the Nazis believed in God (God just didn't believe in Nazis!)

Turn up the heat America. It is our cross; not un-Americans. These people who are not Americans should not be deciding for America what is right for us.

And no one mentioned the pagan goddess in the middle of the seal? Seems to me that would be a good opening point for the fight.

I remember hearing just recently on Hugh Hewitt that it wasnt the US constitution that requires seperation of church and state, but rather the now defunct but apparently returning SOVIET UNION constitution, I cant remember the section or article but its there. The US constitution simply forbids a state established religion...

In her 22-page ruling announced Wednesday [ed: 12/13/03], U.S. District Judge Phyllis Hamilton said Excelsior is not indoctrinating students about Islam when it requires them to adopt Muslim names and pray to Allah as part of a history and geography class, but rather is just teaching them about the Muslim religion.

Be sure, dear readers, to see "Delphi Technique" and "Alinsky Method" on your google or yahoo browser, to see how "democratic" our leftist friends are. Think it "can't happen" in your fair city? Think again.
