Those who today acknowledge the greatness of Ronald Reagan and his mark on the world are the very same people who spent so many years trying to diminish his reputation and impact.

Time and perspective tend to diminish all the noise of the moment, and all the partisan passions and bickering, and allow matters to be seen more clearly and objectively. And that is how it should be. The bottom line, is that Reagan has stood the test of time, short as it is, and his reputation has grown, and his works ever more appreciated - by so many of those who were his political opponents at the time, not to mention, of those who wished him to succeed in his goals and aspirations, but had their doubts, of which, I must admit, I was one. I blew it.

In the end, history judges a man by his accomplishments. There is no way that the media can obscure that, no matter how hard they try. In the end, they just look petty.

Then there's the report today that Rather and Brokaw are both in agreement that the coverage of the Reagan funeral is "excessive".

Nah there's no liberal bias in the media...none at all! /sarcasm
