I know a lot of you folks coming into town for the G-8 Summit figure you landed in a steam bath. Well, that's just the way the June weather is here in Southeast Georgia.

Summer doesn't officially start until June 21, but our summers are like sorry relatives. They come before they're welcome, make everybody uncomfortable and hang around way too long.

Some friends own a home at St. Simons. This is a cute article on the coverage of the G-8 - hope you enjoy. And yes, they vacated the island (before Marshall law was established a couple of weeks ago) and went to stay with relatives in Atlanta.

Very cute article. I hope they survive the anarchists, but somehow I doubt the good people of Georgia will be intimidated. As a matter of fact, once the anarchists realize that just about everyone in Georgia has a gun, they might be the ones who are intimidated.
