Iraqi Blogs are moving into great new realms, many have areas where you can actually post with iraqi's. Didn't know how many went to these sites, just figured i'd give a heads up so fellow freepers could check them out.
I live in El Cajon, CA which is home for the nation's second largest Iraqi refugee population; the first is Detroit. I know many, and they are ecstatic that Saddam is out of power and they can one day go home.
This one is my favorite.

Mine too. I donated $20 on his birthday. Unfortunately, I understand they're having trouble getting the money to Iraq :-(.
But what a great bunch of guys over there. I really love them - trust me, I'm not a very charitable guy, but they're well worth an exception.

I've been reading Zeyad. Sarmad, Ali, Omar, Mohammed, Alaa AYS and Sam for 6 or 7 months. They have kept me optimistic about Iraq when the media would help us feel only defeat and despair. I feel like these guys are great personal friends of mine.
The story about taking pictures was funny. Don't take pictures when your not suppose to. Learned that over in Spain. Don't take pictures of soldier's or you can get arrested.
Iraqi are very creative people. Do you have any links to artists and writers?
I will find some things for you tomorrow.
