Hey, I'm in Northern California. It's 95 degrees today here. Who's going to stand around in Simi Valley in an 8 hour line in a jacket and tie.
(and I do agree that Californians sometimes take casual to absurd levels....)

"(and I do agree that Californians sometimes take casual to absurd levels....)"At least that guy in the rainbow afro with the John 3:16 sign didn't show up. Were there were any sidewalk vendors selling Ronald Reagan glow sticks and maps to the star's homes?

It really makes me no difference as to their dress. I am just glad they are going.
Our churches are part of the problem as they have promoted casual dress. Once folks started wearing jeans and short sleeve shirts to church other events moved along with them until today almost no one dresses up. Sad.

With that attitude, why even go in the first place? You could watch the whole thing on TV in air-conditioned comfort, only steps away from the refrigerator.
I hate to say it, but on this I find myself agreeing with the LA Slimes.
