Yes. If they hear from their constituency, they will be much more likely to take stronger measures to ensure your vote next time around.
Absolutely. The temptation to go along on this will be strong unless they get constituent pressure.
I don't want my daughter growing up in the kid of country some of these idiots seem intent on forcing us all to try to exist in.
Conversely, if you want off my ping-list, let me know.
And my apologies for any redundant pings.
BTTT!
Like I said Schemer, Hitlery, et al don't need your and my votes. Their power base is in the greedy gimmie slef absorbed morons who make the majority of voters in yankeeland. As long as they get a little piece of the plunder they are quite willing to accept chains and more than willing (because of envy I suspect) to have chains put on the rest of us. They were the ones who Sam Adams referred to in his "may your chains rest lightly" speech.
It is getting closer to the time when we may need to take out the trash.
I've given this a fair amount of thought and decided that it's probably too late. When the British marched on Concord to enforce their version of gun control they were met by 5000 when the population of the entire colonies was about 9 million. About 8 years ago we (CSG) scheduled a progun rally on a Saturday morning at the Georgia State house prior to the legislature convening. We advertised, called and mailed. We called and mailed to about 10,000 people on supposedly pro gun lists. About 150 showed up in an area (Atlanta and surrounding suburbs) where the population was at the time about 2.5 million. This was pretty discouraging. The World of Coke (a block away) had a longer line waiting to get in to be entertained by the history of CocaCola
We have GOT to find a way to get around the apathy. Agreed.
Do a google search on the words 1963 communist goals and read what was read tot he Congress in 1963. One of the Communist goals was to get control of one or both political parties. It is a given that they are in total control of the DNC and have at least 10 in the Senate.
.He represented Texas as a conservative and pulled it off for the most part. I recall in the book by Cato that all of Lyndon's close friends were liberals. He in fact was only posing as a conservative to get elected. When he was finally in a place of near absolute power his real self came out.
Several years ago I was rummaging in the attic of my GreatGrandpa's old house. Although he lived in Florida, for some reason he subscribed to the Texas Southern Baptist newspaper. I was looking at one from the 50's and noticed an ad from LBJ when he was running for the Senate. I kept it but have now misplaced it.
Exactly. Which is why I call them commie 'rats.
When this AW ban passes, I am through with all things political and will never vote again.
I case you haven't heard about this yet...
The conspiracy theory is that a schoolyard massacre will happen with a mini-14 the day before the scheduled vote.
Sunset BTTT!
Sunset for the gun-grabbing politicians too!
How many votes will this bill need to Pass?
Just a simple majoirty?
If that's all it needs I think we might be F'd.
That is if those that voted for this durring S1805 keep their votes the same.

BANG BTTT
I agree. I applaud the Second Amendment Sisters for their efforts but we have a problem. First of all, as you mention, the appathy, the rally in DC on Mothers Day of this year was unacceptable. There are many reasons for this.
We have many pro-gun organizations out there but they all lack one fundamental thing. All of them are reactive and not proactive. We don't need to spend Mothers Day in DC, we need to spend September, 13 in DC. We need to make the anti's react to US.
We need to push to repeal these laws not wait for sunsets. Unfortunately, we can't do anything until we eliminate the apathy of gun owners and we get our message out. The question becomes, how do we do that?
I've thought about creating an organization to accomplish this mission but after a lot of thought, I don't think another gun rights organization is the answer.
I've noticed that the laws that have been passed in the last few years have been specifically designed to shut the American People up. This concerns me greatly.
I attended a meeting in Richmond, Va. yesterday that left me bewildered at the people we have in government. I walked away from that meeting with this sentence in my mind: "The terrorists have won." Fear, ignorance, knee-jerk reactions seem to be the rule of the day. After that meeting, as I drove the two and a half hours back to northern Virginia, I came to the conclusion that our Governments; Federal, State, and local need oversight that is unrelated to any government.
To this end, I've done a bit of research this morning to find that the way our government has set itself up, it is very difficult for anyone outside of the game to keep tabs on what is going on. But, it is not impossible to do.
I then had another idea that may work better or in conjuction with such an oversight committee. An organization with them mission of bill proposal review relating to the constitutionality of proposed bills in Congress may be in order. The committee would examine a bill, research the legitimacy of the bill concerning the constitution and publish the findings before the bill is voted on.
For this to work, we would need people that are experts in various fields that these bills would effect, we would need lawyers, and we would need a media outlet.
Yes ladies and gentlemen, 1984 is coming. BUT, we can be the watchers. This is a radical step but I think it could keep our nation from suffering a civil war that no one wants but some seem to be pushing for.
Another mission of the oversight committee would be oversight of government abuses and illegal activity such as was used at Waco and Ruby Ridge. They would have the duty of holding law enforcement agents responsible for their actions when the "good ol' boys" network protects wrong doers in these positions.
Bear in mind that this is a fresh idea in my mind and I am still in the first stages of research. I know that the government would not like this idea but I think they better get used to the idea that they are here to serve us, not the other way around.
For a quick and nasty solution to the AW renewal ban problem, we need to submit a bill that would outlaw exemptions by law enforcement from gun control laws. If we cannot have more than 10 rounds in a magazine, neither can they. If we can't have a flash hider, neither can they... This would have serious impact on the support for these unconstitutional laws.
Okay, I'm done ranting.
Mike
They all suck. .....especially the two Rino co-sponsors DeSwine and Warner.
