Well, according to our local paper, the numbers are in. They expected 10,000 at the library, they got 106,000.

Library visitors=106,000
Population of Simi census according to the sign=106,494

What an amazing demonstration of respect. I'm very proud of Californians.

Lauer said some 150,000 visitors were expected, not including those likely to line Constitution Avenue, one of Washington's central streets, to watch the caisson make its way up to Capitol Hill.

Say! Here's how we'll make the numbers smaller -- we'll only count an arbitrary portion of the crowd!

The lib media tried to play down the numbers in California and were hoping to play down the numbers in Washington, DC.

CNN yesterday, per some posts, said around 10,000 lined the streets in Washington. Some FReepers who were actually there, and screen caps at various locations, showed areas of 10-15 people deep.

This morning, FoxNews reported that approximately 5,000 per hour were viewing in Washington.
