I don't think anything in her character or history -- or that of her husband -- indicates the quality of giving in to screaming, crying brats. If it was she that decided, she won't back down.
She is different than her husband. He always crossed party lines...all through his presidency. If this was NOT decided before his death...then I too think she'll stick to that decision, after thinking about it. She was extremely protective of the love of her life.
