Depends whose decision it is, I guess. Is it Nancy's call?

Also, when was Nixon's funeral.. wasn't Clinton the current president at the time?

Yeah and he spoke there, as the SITTING Pres. Carter attended as ex pres but was NOT invited to speak.

Yes, the only reason Clinton spoke at Nixon's funeral was he was the sitting President.

I give thanks that our current President was in office when Ronald Reagan's time came.

**Depends whose decision it is, I guess. Is it Nancy's call?**

Or President Reagan's call?

Supposedly many of these arrangements were made a long time ago.

"Depends whose decision it is, I guess. Is it Nancy's call? "

Exactly. It's Nancy's call.

Nancy has always been a straight talker when it comes to protecting her Ronnie, and I'm sure she'll let her wishes be known in this case too.

Unless some Presidential protocol demands it, I'm sure she doesn't want to turn Reagans funeral into a democRATic political rally, and will probably tell them so.

I wish all the dems who are posturing at the expense of Reagan and his memory, would just get in line with the rest of the 2000 people per hour procession and take their turn viewing [and viewing only, not talking]. Otherwise, they're just using it as a photo op.

And I would especially hate to see any remnants of the carter or clinton gangs show up at all. They stand for everything that Reagan was against.

Dunno whose call it is, but whoever made it evidently didn't want the democRATs coming in and turning it into another travesty like they did at Paul Wellstone's funeral.

One more point from the article:

"Nixon's vice president Gerald Ford did not speak at Nixon's funeral."
