I'm actually impressed with the media's coverage of the viewing by the public. They're broadcasting the comments of praise by those standing in line.

Amen. Joining you in prayer. In the name of All That Is Holy, I invoke a miracle in the witnessing to the nations and the organs of the media at how the American People understand and appreciate the service this great President gave to us.

As my Mom wathced the various reports and coverage of the processional to the rotunda, she called me reagrding the Nightly News where the anchor said the following:
"The numbers of people lining up to pay their final respects to Ronald Reagan have surpassed all expectations...and they're still coming!"
My eyes welled up as I realized we were witnessing literal answer to prayer. I pray it continues and that when he returns to California, the same occurs up to and after his burial, that the lines to visit his grave, when it is opened to the public, continue the outpouring of love, respect, honor and realization.
Thank you Mr. President...even in your passing you are building hope and leading the nation to a better day. God rest and bless you...God comfort and bless your dear wife as she awaits with dignity your enventual reunion.

Our nation needs fixing. A bunch of fixing.
President Reagan did so much to fix it. It still needs fixing, but he has done so much more than the rest of us, and we need to stomp EVERYBODY who speaks against him. Not physically, but still flat.
President Reagan was and still is right.

Yes it does, yes he did..and yes he was and is...right.
What a blessing to have lived to see his Presidency and his impacy...which continues to this day as is evident by this tremendous outpouring.
What a responsibilty we have to maintain, grow and srpead his legacy and make it our own.

Thanks for the ping
I am lucky enough to live in Santa Monica and I was able to pay my respects earlier. It is a priviledge to honor a great president.

Yes it is...and thank you and God bless you for doing so.

Ronald Reagan is perhaps the only American President who will stand unashamed in the halls of the Founding Fathers. We can only aspire to stand in the gap where he once stood.

What a responsibilty we have to maintain, grow and srpead his legacy and make it our own. To do this, we must teach our children to be philosophers, warriors, and spiritually sovereign individuals.
If you can make the distinction between right and wrong - you are a philosopher.
If you have the courage to stand up for what you believe in and t ofight for what's right - you are a warrior.
If you use your wits and your courage to grappple with the tough moral questions and have the faith to live your convictions - then you are a spiritually sovereign individual.

Excellent!
Bro, those descriptions are keepers and represent the most basic of truths.
They deserve a thread all of their own, etched in granite and in the hearts and souls of our countrymen...thank you for gracing this thread with them.

"My eyes welled up as I realized we were witnessing literal answer to prayer" Prayer is the only power that we really have, and I am convinced that it is the true power of Freerepublic. These threads bring the quickest and broadest call to prayer that can be made. The fact that Terri Schiavo is still alive is clear testimony to that.
