Can you say "Photoshop"? Looks like a fox head, dear body, dog tail.

The head looks like a fox, but that really is weird.

This was posted at LP and they were speculating photoshop also, but no one could pick out any identifiable flaw in the continuity of the photo...shadows and lines all match up.

From the title, I thought Susan Estrich had moved to the hills.

It is an obvious fake rubber costume, I can see the zipper from here. This suit takes three college kids to work and has 3 12 volt batteries.

The shadow is interesting. I agree the body looks like a deer, especially the hindquarters.

Lorraine Smith, another curator of mammals who looked at the photo, said it might be a grey fox that has lost much of its fur, possibly because of parasites. I don't know, the fur looks pretty healthy to me. It just looks like a short-haired fox.

I don't know, but I've been seeing animals I'm not used to seeing all my life here in MD.
In fact, I saw 1 yesterday cross in front of me that looks alot like this - except more hair. But not perfectly coated; inconsistently so. I'm not sure but I think they're either grey foxes or coyotes (I've seen at least once years ago here, very good view as it trotted in my fenced back yard by our pool and over our neighbors').
