I am heading up now with my family ... I can't take hearing any more of the liberal hate speak against this great man and merely hope to be able to pay our respects.
Great, hope to see you there.
"Okay, someone, is it Moorpark College of Cal Lutheran?"
Moorpark College for shuttles to Library. Cal Lutheran for media.
(reprise) DFU SONG -- Tribute to President Ronald Reagan (Do You Hear the People Sing)

MIDI - DO YOU HEAR THE PEOPLE SING
Every now and then we find that a great leader comes along
One who has greatness that we celebrate in poetry and song
He grew up in the Midwest and he had learned his lessons well
But how far he would go nobody could really tell
His accomplishments were growing but hes not one who would boast
He learned that a mans character is what is valued most
And hes led his life with an honor that we can admire
Ronald Reagan we love you
and you are loved around the world
Thanks to your vision flags of freedom everywhere have been unfurled
We will all raise up our glass, heres a salute from one and all
Long live your legacy The Man Who Brought Down the Wall
Theres a natural right of men
that right is all men shall live free
Because freedom makes each person all the best that he can be
One president knew that much better than anyone else
Ronald Reagan we love you
and you are loved around the world
Thanks to your vision flags of freedom everywhere have been unfurled
We will all raise up our glass, heres a salute from one and all
Long live your legacy The Man Who Brought Down the Wall
Ronald Reagan we love you
and you are loved around the world
Thanks to your vision flags of freedom everywhere have been unfurled
We will all raise up our glass, heres a salute from one and all
Long live your legacy The Man Who Brought Down the Wall
Youre loved by all
Song Tribute to President Ronald W. Reagan by Doug from Upland
A "few" have been dressed in suits and ties. Ladies in nice dresses, but the rest! OMG! "I" am embarrassed just seeing them.
My family is going to the library tonight. I am wondering, do you guys think it is a good idea to hold up banners and signs? I'm worried that it might reflect poorly on the site.
Thank you, bd. We love you guys, as always, but especially now, when you can represent all of us. Salute, my friend. - E
I was a little irritated myself to see hardly anyone even taking off their HATS!
It looks like the dressed down people are "curiosity seekers" and (as Rush said some years ago), "people just think they have to be a part of something so they can say they were there.
Is there a certain place in the parking lot where the FR motorhome is parked? I've never met any FReepers so won't recognize anyone.
I'll grant you paying respects to the dead is usually a coat and tie job, but please cut the peasants some slack, at least they showed up to pay their respects to the greatest President of the 20th Century! If I'm faced with a 10 hour wait late Wednesday night into Thursday morning with my wife, 8, 7, 2 & 1 year old kids; I'm probably not going to be wearing a suit.
You got it, Endeavor. It's your kind of sentiment and encouragement which keeps all of us going, united in thought, united in spirt. Thank you and God Bless America.
That is STRICKLY MY OPINION. I'll respect yours, if you respect mine.
Just spoke to Diotima. BobJ and Diotima were kind enough to rent the motorhome and they have hung up a sign which says "Free Republic" on one side of the motorhome and on the other side is a sign which says "Hello Freepers" or maybe it's "Welcome Freepers."
The motor home is parked near the front of the parking lot, close to all the news vans.
Diotima said that the crowds are moving very smoothly and that people are already leaving the parking lot. Diotima believes that everyone will be able to pay their last respects.
THANK YOU! I was a little concerned I'd end up driving around aimlessly if I make it down. I planned on attending earlier, but got hung up by an installer who was late, and hubby can't make it today because of work. We'll try later all of us, or I'll bring the girls by myself.
I was concerned about bringing baby (toddler) because she might be less than "somber" when walking past. I'm still debating what to do.
"What's a FReeper motor home???"
I think it might be the one the City of Sacramento bought.
Boy some people have the life!
Hehe. Tell them I said hi and God bless.
You may want to have someone babysit her.
